Handmade in small batches on our Shropshire smallholding using fresh milk from our own much-loved goats, this unscented soap contains honey and finely milled oats and has a rich, creamy lather with a wonderfully gentle feel on the skin.

WHICH SOAP IS BEST FOR DRY OR SENSITIVE SKIN?

We’re often asked which of our soaps we would recommend for dry or sensitive skin.

Everyone’s skin is different, but our Unscented Goat Milk Soap and Honey & Oats are particularly popular choices for customers who prefer a simple, gentle soap.

Honey & Oats is our best seller and contains honey and finely milled oats, while our Unscented soap contains no added fragrance.

If you’re choosing a soap because you have a particular skin condition, such as eczema or psoriasis, we’d recommend following the advice of your healthcare professional and choosing a product that’s suitable for your individual skin.

INGREDIENTS

Goats Milk, Coconut Oil (Sodium Cocoate), Olive Oil (Sodium Olivate), Sunflower Oil (Sodium Sunflowerseedate), Shea Butter (Sodium Shea Butterate), Cocoa Butter (Sodium Cocoa Butterate), Glycerin (naturally forming), Honey (Mel), Oats (Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernal Meal).

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT BILLY & LILLY’S

Every stage of the soap making process is done by myself — if I say “our”, I mean me and the goats!

From milking the goats by hand twice a day and making sure they’re all happy and healthy, to making, cutting and stamping the soaps and designing the packaging, I do it all myself.

Even the watercolour illustrations and Billy & Lilly’s logo have been created by me.

So when I say these are handmade soaps, they really are handmade from goat to soap!

Billy & Lilly’s began with two rescued goats who came to live with us on our smallholding in Shropshire — and our goats are still very much at the heart of everything we do.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR SOAP

Handmade soap naturally contains glycerin, which is created during the soap-making process.

To help your soap last as long as possible, allow it to dry between uses on a well-draining soap dish or soap rack.

If left standing in water, handmade soap will become soft and break down more quickly.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

DOES GOAT MILK SOAP SMELL GOATY?

No! Our Honey & Oats soap is unscented and has a fresh, clean smell. Our scented soaps each have their own delicate aroma from pure essential oils.

And although the soap doesn’t smell of goats, the goats themselves are very much part of the story!

WHY GOAT MILK SOAP?

Goat milk has been used in skincare products for generations. Our soaps are made using fresh raw goat’s milk as the liquid in the soap-making process, rather than water.

WHAT DO YOU USE TO SCENT YOUR SOAPS?

Honey & Oats is completely unscented.

For our scented soaps, we use pure essential oils derived from plant materials rather than synthetic fragrance oils.

All of our soap recipes have been assessed by a qualified Cosmetic Safety Assessor and we hold the appropriate Cosmetic Product Safety Reports.

    I have recently been diagnosed with hidradenitis suppurativa, a skin condition making me prone to abcesses and folliculitis. I have tried creams and washes from the doctors, they work to a degree but never getting rid of the folliculitis completely. I have been using the honey and oats soap and my folliculitis has completely disappeared. This is the first time in about a year that ive not had folliculitis. I would HIGHLY reccomend using this soap for any inflammatory skin conditions!
